Overview
Maintenance Repair Workers perform semi‑skilled work in the building and mechanical trades to repair, construct, and maintain buildings, facilities, and equipment.
Qualifications- Three years of experience performing semi‑skilled work in relevant building and/or mechanical trades; OR one year of experience as a Maintenance Repair Worker III in Nevada State service; OR equivalent combination of education and experience.
Under general supervision, the incumbent performs basic maintenance and repair work across multiple trades to maintain, repair, and modify facilities, systems, and fixtures. Duties include basic plumbing, carpentry, interior painting, basic electrical work, equipment maintenance, basic welding and machine work, and color coding identification.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities- Working knowledge of safety hazards, safe working procedures, standard practices, methods, materials, tools, and equipment used in the building and mechanical trades.
- Ability to set priorities reflecting agency needs, prepare written work orders, requisition supplies, prepare specifications, read repair orders, service manuals, building plans, and building codes.

Additional benefits may apply to employees covered under a Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA), depending on their designated bargaining unit.
