Job Title:
Solar Installer

Location: Reno, Nevada
Employment Type: Full-Time

Position Summary:

The Solar Installer is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and commissioning of solar energy systems. This role plays a key part in supporting renewable energy projects and ensuring that systems are installed to meet high standards of safety, performance, and quality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install photovoltaic (PV) solar systems on rooftops, ground mounts, and carports.

  • Assemble, install, and wire solar modules, inverters, and other system components per specifications and electrical codes.

  • Interpret blueprints, schematics, and site plans to determine layout and installation procedures.

  • Ensure proper structural mounting, alignment, and sealing of solar panels.

  • Coordinate with electricians and project leads during installations and inspections.

  • Perform system testing, troubleshooting, and commissioning to ensure functionality and safety.

  • Maintain tools, equipment, and materials in good working condition.

  • Follow all OSHA safety standards and internal protocols to maintain a safe work environment.

  • Support pre-installation evaluations and post-installation maintenance as needed.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification in solar or electrical systems preferred.

  • Minimum of 1–2 years of solar installation experience in residential or commercial settings.

  • Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and electrical testing instruments.

  • Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, and work outdoors in varying conditions.

  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.

  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

  • NABCEP certification is a plus.

  • Passion for renewable energy and sustainability.
