Technician Power South Valley

Bring your energy to Aggreko as Technician 1 Power based in Reno, Nevada. You’ll work as a team and independently in shops and at customer sites to service, repair, commission, and operate Aggreko products. This role supports natural gas solutions at the South Valley data center customer site.

• Perform preventive maintenance and execute moderate repairs of power generators, diesel engines, electrical distribution equipment, HVAC equipment, and/or oil‑free air compressors.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot extensive equipment failures at the shop or on customer locations, test and handle repairs independently or with another technician.
• Complete necessary paperwork promptly and accurately, including data entry and use of relevant computer systems and software.
• Lead moderate job site setups and mentor lower‑level technicians.
• Maintain thorough knowledge of, actively practice, and promote safe working conditions in accordance with OSHA, EPA, and other required regulations.
• Track and report key performance metrics such as equipment readiness, downtime duration, speed of turnaround, and safety records.
• Possibly work after regular business hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

• Certified Jenbacher gas technician (FTA/FTB/CE1/CE2) – must be current.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Technical aptitude in generators, industrial HVAC equipment, air compressors, electrical distribution, and power generation.
• Mechanically inclined with familiarity in hand tool operation, automotive lube and oil change, troubleshooting, and testing.
• Physical ability to bend, reach, carry, or lift objects (typically less than 75 lbs.).
• Valid driver’s license and ability to obtain and maintain required certifications under federal, state, and local ordinances.
• Strong communication skills and willingness to work directly with internal and external customers.

The role is performed primarily in shop settings or on client sites, often exposed to outdoor temperatures, varying weather conditions, and moderate to high noise levels. Physical demands include frequent sitting and standing, repetitive tasks, and occasional lifting as described above.
