Residential Service Technician
The Residential Service Technician is a troubleshooter and service expert who helps customers with security system concerns, advising them and coordinating inspections.
Key Responsibilities- Services fire and carbon monoxide detection, networking, hosted video solutions, and access control.
- Follow and complete required processes for wired/wireless technology and connection procedures.
- Test and validate system signals/communication with central monitoring to establish service.
- Act as a customer service champion, helping customers fix issues and understand their protection.
- Locate and resolve trouble with damaged equipment or wiring.
- Readjust equipment, repair or replace inoperative components and test for operation.
- Read blueprints, building and electrical plans to complete equipment repairs.
- Prepare trouble order forms to report temporary repairs.
Coordinate inspections and/or installations with police, fire departments, or other agencies.
- Service experience and technical aptitude.
- Strong verbal communication; customer‑focused mindset.
- Thrive in the face of uncertainty.
- Valid driver's license.
- High school diploma or GED (equivalent).
- Minimum 2 years experience installing and inspecting/repairing ADT or comparable product line.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to read building electrical and sprinkler plans for equipment troubleshooting.
- Physical ability: standing, stooping, lifting, climbing, crawling.

Hour rate $22.00 – $40.85 based on experience and qualifications.
