Residential Service Technician

The Residential Service Technician is a troubleshooter and service expert who helps customers with security system concerns, advising them and coordinating inspections.

• Services fire and carbon monoxide detection, networking, hosted video solutions, and access control.
• Follow and complete required processes for wired/wireless technology and connection procedures.
• Test and validate system signals/communication with central monitoring to establish service.
• Act as a customer service champion, helping customers fix issues and understand their protection.
• Locate and resolve trouble with damaged equipment or wiring.
• Readjust equipment, repair or replace inoperative components and test for operation.
• Read blueprints, building and electrical plans to complete equipment repairs.
• Prepare trouble order forms to report temporary repairs.
  
  Coordinate inspections and/or installations with police, fire departments, or other agencies.

• Service experience and technical aptitude.
• Strong verbal communication; customer‑focused mindset.
• Thrive in the face of uncertainty.
• Valid driver's license.
• High school diploma or GED (equivalent).
• Minimum 2 years experience installing and inspecting/repairing ADT or comparable product line.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to read building electrical and sprinkler plans for equipment troubleshooting.
• Physical ability: standing, stooping, lifting, climbing, crawling.

Hour rate $22.00 – $40.85 based on experience and qualifications.
