Technician Power South Valley

Role Overview

Bring your energy to Aggreko as a Technician 2 Power based in Reno, Nevada. You’ll work as a team and independently in shops and at customer sites to service, repair, commission, and operate Aggreko products. This role will support natural gas solutions at the South Valley data center customer site.

• Perform preventive maintenance and moderate repairs of power generators, diesel engines, electrical distribution equipment, HVAC equipment, and oil‑free air compressors.
• Troubleshoot extensive equipment failures at the shop or on customer locations, test and handle repairs alone or with other technicians.
• Complete necessary paperwork in a timely and accurate manner, including data entry and use of relevant computer systems and software.
• Lead moderate job‑site setups and mentor lower‑level Technicians.
• Maintain thorough knowledge of, actively practice, and promote safe working conditions in accordance with OSHA, EPA and other required regulations for safe operation of all equipment.
• Track service metrics such as equipment readiness, downtime duration, and speed of turnaround.

• Certified Jenbacher gas technician – FTA, FTB, CE1, CE2.
• Technical aptitude in generators, industrial HVAC equipment, air compressors, electrical distribution, power generation, load banks, and/or BESS products.
• Mechanically inclined with hand‑tool operation and automotive lube and oil‑change experience plus troubleshooting and testing skills.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to obtain and maintain necessary certifications required for equipment operation.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Strong safety orientation, measured by First Aid, OSHA recordables, risk reporting, and adherence to QHSE policies.

• Pay Rate: $40.00 – $46.00 per hour.

• Must be able to sit, stand, bend, reach, carry, or lift objects typically less than 75 lbs.
• Work environment primarily in a shop setting or client sites, with exposure to outdoor temperatures, extreme weather, and moderate to high noise levels.
• Possible work during nights, weekends, and holidays.
