Position SummaryAs a Clean Air Technician, you will travel to residential and commercial properties to clean HVAC duct systems and related equipment, improve indoor air quality, and educate customers on solutions that enhance the performance of their HVAC systems. You will also complete job documentation, collect payment when required, and maintain communication with dispatch and office staff to ensure a seamless customer experience.
Key Responsibilities- Operate specialized filtration and vacuum equipment to clean and deodorize residential and commercial HVAC duct systems.
- Clean HVAC components and indoor air quality equipment according to company standards.
- Inspect duct systems and educate customers on recommended improvements, clean air products, and system upgrades that may benefit their home or business.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional work vehicle and company equipment.
- Complete all required paperwork, job notes, and work orders accurately and in a timely manner.
- Collect customer payments when applicable.
- Maintain regular communication with dispatch regarding job status, scheduling, and any issues encountered in the field.
- Follow up on job‑related concerns and communicate effectively with the Service Dispatcher and management team.
- Stay current on company products, pricing, promotions, and indoor air quality solutions.
- Attend all required training sessions and continuing education opportunities.
- Represent Sierra Air professionally with customers, coworkers, and vendors at all times.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
- Minimum of one year of duct cleaning, HVAC, restoration, or related field experience.
- Professional appearance and positive attitude.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and efficiently.
- Strong problem‑solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Ability to adapt to changing schedules and priorities.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to handle challenging customer interactions professionally.
- Work performed in residential and commercial environments, both indoors and outdoors, in varying weather conditions.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 70 pounds.
- Comfortable working in attics, crawl spaces, confined spaces, and on ladders.
- Ability to bend, kneel, climb, and stand for extended periods.
Pay: $18.00–$22.00 per hour, depending on experience.
