Maintenance Technician / Mechanic, HVAC Tech / Heating Engineer, Building Maintenance
Pay Rate: $30.00 per hour. Paid weekly.
Shift: C Crew, 5 AM to 5 PM, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and every other Wednesday.
Job SummaryUnder direction of Facility Leadership, perform maintenance functions related to boiler operations; including but not limited to online and offline boiler tube cleaning, repair boiler tubes and cleaning equipment, and other preventative, corrective, and emergency maintenance as may be required.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Performs all duties and tasks in accordance manufacturer and Stericycle procedures and with strict adherence to relative safety programs and standards including Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO), Confined Space, Fall Protection, Electrical Safety, etc.
- Assist Maintenance Technician in diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing equipment when needed.
- Operate equipment to clean fire tube boiler. Maintain and repair boiler tube cleaning equipment.
- Ensures all repairs are performed properly in the shortest amount of time possible to maintain the highest level of operational readiness.
- Performs preventive and scheduled maintenance on a daily basis on a variety of machinery within the plant. including:
Fire tube boiler and ancillary equipment, steam delivery systems, water softeners and other water treatment equipment, air handling equipment, commercial washers, pneumatic and hydraulic systems, and conveyor systems. - Air pollution control devices, to include bag houses, evaporative coolers, acid absorbers, and carbon beds.
- General air pneumatics, including air compressor, regulators, solenoid valves, 2-way and 3-way valve, tubing installation, pneumatic pumps and related systems.
- Performs any general work or other assignments necessary to ensure a safe, clean, healthy and efficient facility and vigorously support Stericycle’s commitment to Safety.
- Various Pumps and related components.
- Hydraulic systems, hosing and valves, cylinders.
- PH control and chemical injection.
- Fire tube boiler and ancillary equipment, steam delivery systems, water softeners and other water treatment equipment, air handling equipment, commercial washers, pneumatic and hydraulic systems, and conveyor systems.
- Steam turbine and electrical generator systems.
- Documents results through completed work orders based on schedule and priority or as required.
- Performs other related duties as required or requested.
A.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma (accredited) or GED equivalent
- 2 years’ experience with the use of forklifts, aerial-lifts, and various rigging equipment in the performance of maintenance activities.
- 2 years’ experience with the performance of LOTO out and permit confined space programs related to maintenance activities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Possession of boiler, welding, or electrical certification or license
