Overview
Bring your energy to Aggreko as a Technician 1 – Peru Ridge, based in Reno, Nevada. Working in shops and at customer sites, you’ll service, repair, commission, and operate Aggreko products to support natural gas solutions at the Peru Ridge data center customer site.
Responsibilities- Perform preventive maintenance and execute moderate repairs of power generators, diesel engines, electrical distribution equipment, HVAC equipment, and/or oil‑free air compressors.
- Troubleshoot extensive equipment failures at the shop or on customer locations, test and handle the repairs independently or with another technician.
- Complete necessary paperwork timely and accurately, including data entry and use of relevant computer systems and software as directed.
- Lead moderate job‑site setups and mentor lower‑level technicians.
- Maintain thorough knowledge of, actively practice, and promote safe working conditions in accordance with OSHA, EPA, and other required regulations.
- Assist in measuring and improving performance metrics such as equipment readiness, downtime duration, and turnaround speed.
- Pay Rate: $34.00 to $40.00 an hour.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to obtain/maintain required certifications.
- Mechanical and technical knowledge of generators, industrial HVAC equipment, air compressors, electrical distribution, power generation, and related products.
- Experience with preventive maintenance and moderate repairs.
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as bending, reaching, carrying or lifting objects up to 75 lbs.
- Familiarity with OSHA, EPA, and other safety regulations.

Work EnvironmentThe regular work environment is usually a shop setting or client sites with conditions that include exposure to outdoor temperatures and elements, some of which may involve extreme weather conditions (e.g., heat, cold, rain, snow, ice). The employee may infrequently be exposed to other conditions, such as an office setting. The work environment usually has a moderate to high noise level.
You may be asked or required to work after regular business hours including nights, weekends, and holidays.
