Field Service Technician - Level 2

Road Mechanic

Sunbelt Rentals is seeking a Road Mechanic/Technician to perform preventive maintenance, diagnose and make advanced repairs on customer location equipment. The role works with various equipment including Aerial Work Platforms, general construction tools, generators, pumps, HVAC systems, and oil/gas equipment.

Perform preventive maintenance and advanced repairs at customer sites, ensuring equipment operates safely and efficiently to minimize downtime.

• High school diploma or GED required; trade school or equivalent training desired.
• 1‑2 years of mechanic experience with diesel equipment, heavy construction equipment, or specialty lines (generators, pumps, HVAC, oil/gas).
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record; CDL license may be required in some locations.
• Knowledge of hydraulic and electrical systems and troubleshooting fundamentals.
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
• Bilingual in Spanish or other languages may be required based on location needs.
• Must be willing to bring personal mechanic’s tools to the job.

Role requires bending, squatting, crouching, reaching, and lifting 50 pounds or more. Work can be performed indoors and outdoors as needed.

• Base Pay Range: $24.05 - $33.06 per hour.
• Up to $35/hr by bringing tools; eligible for up to $5,000 sign‑on bonus.
