Eaton’s ES GEIS BLD division is currently seeking a Maintenance Technician (3rd Shift) to join our team in Reno, NV. The hourly rate for this position is $34.20 plus $1 shift differential per hour. Core hours are 10:00 p.m. – 6:30 a.m.

What You’ll Do- Troubleshoot and repair electrical, electronic and mechanical malfunctions on plant machines, facility systems or related equipment.
- Install, troubleshoot and repair systems such as PLCs, HMIs, VFD drives, vision systems, motor control centers, power distribution centers, motors (DC, AC, stepper, servo, etc.), and three‑phase/single‑phase power and control circuits; install control panels and components.
- Perform preventative and reactive maintenance on all production equipment.
- Inspect electrical systems, equipment and components to identify hazards, defects and compliance with National Electric Code (NEC).
- Install new or used manufacturing equipment.
- Fabricate and machine parts as required to complete projects.
- Operate lift trucks, man lifts and boom lifts for work in elevated locations.
- Fabricate devices and mechanisms to improve, repair or replace non‑operational equipment.
- Weld, prototype, pipe, paint, masonry, or carpentry duties as necessary.
- Support facility continuous improvement and LEAN initiatives.
- High‑school diploma or GED.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in commercial and industrial electricity or maintenance; or a technical school diploma or associate’s degree in electronics or commercial/industrial electrical systems.
- Experience reading electrical/mechanical blueprints and schematics.
- Experience with CMMS and SAP.
- Microsoft Office experience.
- Operating sit‑down and stand‑up forklifts.

- Minimum of 2 years PLC troubleshooting or programming experience.
- Minimum of 5 years electrical experience in an industrial manufacturing environment.
- Experience with Allen Bradley and Siemens PLC, HMI and drive software.
- Experience troubleshooting CNC logic circuits.
- Journeyman Electrician certification.
- Mechanical power press, roll‑forming and sheet‑metal fabrication experience.
- Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW) experience.
- Experience with NEC.
- Must be able to start on the first shift for 4–6 months of training.
- Ability to interface with vendors to troubleshoot, set up and acquire parts.
- Working knowledge of production machinery and equipment such as clutch/brake systems, gearboxes, hydraulic systems, compressed‑gas systems, water and cooling systems.
- Stand continuously during shift, kneel, bend and climb without reasonable accommodation.
- Work at heights up to 40 feet without reasonable accommodation.
- Lift 50 pounds regularly without assistance without reasonable accommodation.
- Wear required personal protective equipment as required by company policy.
- Exposure to high noise levels (ear protection may be required).
- Exposure to forklift activity.
- Indoor and outdoor weather exposure.
- Work environment exposes to oils, lubricants and solvents.
