Planned Maintenance Technician - South Valley

Overview

Bring your energy as a Planned Maintenance Technician-Peru Ridge based in Reno, Nevada. You’ll work as a team and independently in shops and at customer sites to service, repair, commission, and operate Aggreko products. This role supports natural gas solutions at the South Valley data center customer site.

• Perform service, maintenance checks and cleaning of equipment, including oil and filter changes, fluid checks and top‑off on power generators, diesel generators and/or compressors in the shop or at customer sites.
• Work in the field with extensive local travel daily in your company vehicle.
• Perform preventive and planned maintenance as directed by the supervisor on work logs, maintenance records, and repair logs following all safety guidelines.
• Complete necessary paperwork timely and accurately, including expense reports, work logs, maintenance records, and repair logs; perform data entry and use relevant computer systems and software.
• Complete customer site visit checks and maintain appropriate badging for site access.
• Convey confidence in customer communications.

• Set equipment to service readiness, reducing downtime duration and speeding turnaround.
• Pay rate between $25.00 and $32.00 per hour.
• Progression in skill and technical level, with emphasis on safety metrics such as First Aid, OSHA recordables, and risks reported.
• Technical aptitude: knowledge of gas and/or diesel‑powered generators and air compressors preferred.
• Mechanically inclined with basic hand‑tool operation and experience with automotive lube and oil changes.
• Physical ability to do both manual work and problem‑solving; willingness to get hands dirty and interact with internal and external customers to deliver solutions.
• Hold a valid driver’s license.
• Must have a High School Diploma or GED.

Frequent periods spent sitting and standing in the same location performing repetitive tasks. May be required to bend, reach, carry or lift objects typically less than 75 lbs.
