Job Description What this job involvesAs a Sr Maintenance Technician at JLL, you’ll serve as the technical backbone of our Reno portfolio, ensuring optimal performance of all building systems while delivering exceptional service to our tenants. This hands‑on role combines preventative maintenance expertise with responsive problem‑solving to maintain safe, efficient, and comfortable facilities. You’ll work independently and collaboratively within our team to uphold operational excellence across mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and structural systems.

- Maintain, operate, and repair all HVAC systems, electrical distribution equipment, plumbing systems, building interior/exterior repair, and related grounds for assigned buildings.
- Perform maintenance and repairs to Mechanical, Plumbing, Structural, Furniture, and facility systems to keep these systems up to applicable standards.
- Conduct predictive, planned, preventative and routine maintenance as well as equipment rounds and service requests per the JLL Preventative Maintenance Program. Assist with development and improvement of preventive maintenance programs, schedules, work instructions, SOPs, and operational procedures.
- Carry out all duties safely and in accordance with established standards and practices.
- Establish work procedures to meet production schedules.
- Recommend measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product, suggesting changes in working conditions and equipment use to increase efficiency.
- Analyze and resolve work problems and achieve work goals.
- Maintain time and production records and customer service requests using a variety of computer/technology tools.
- Work flexibly across a wide-ranging scope of responsibilities while following procedures that minimize risk for human error.
- Foster teamwork to create a positive working environment.
- Control the daily operation of all mechanical equipment in the physical plant and buildings.
- Perform maintenance and repairs to Mechanical, Plumbing, Structural, Fire, Life Safety, and Control systems to keep systems up to standards.
- Maintain responsibility for preventive maintenance, contracted maintenance, general maintenance and technical proficiency.
- Respond to tenant service requests accurately and expediently.
- Evaluate building systems to monitor and improve performance and operating efficiency.
- Comply with all policies and procedures regarding safe storage, usage, and disposal of hazardous materials while maintaining a clean and safe workplace.
- Participate in the on‑call engineer rotation for the portfolio of office buildings.
- Actively participate in emergency response procedures and technical and safety training programs.
- Perform all work with proper safety equipment and in a safe manner.
- Proven experience maintaining and repairing mechanical, plumbing, structural, fire, life safety, and HVAC control systems in commercial facilities.
- Demonstrated technical proficiency with preventive maintenance programs and ability to perform equipment diagnostics and repairs.
- Strong understanding of building automation systems and ability to utilize computerized maintenance management and technology tools.
- Knowledge of safe storage, usage, and disposal of hazardous materials with consistent adherence to safety protocols and regulatory compliance.
