Metrology Technician I

Job Overview

We are seeking a Metrology Technician I at our Safety Assessment site in Reno, NV.

• Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment within applicable SOP's, regulatory, and manufacturer guidelines.
• Ensure proper installation and operation of machinery and equipment in order to meet qualification standards.
• Perform troubleshooting activities on equipment as necessary.
• Order equipment, replacement parts, and service as directed by the team lead.
• Coordinate the repair of laboratory equipment by outside vendors.
• Monitor freezer and refrigerator temperatures via the building automation system and assist with the issuing of deviations.
• Assist with re-qualification validations to meet performance standards and protocols.
• Utilize the CMMS to track and close equipment work orders.
• Tag all new equipment and enter into the CMMS.
• Participate in 24-hour on-call support for freezer/refrigerator as scheduled. Respond to emergencies as needed.
• Perform all other related duties as assigned.

• Education:
  
  High school diploma or General Education Degree (G.E.D.) required.
• Experience:
  
  1-2 years related experience working with laboratory equipment.
• An equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted as a satisfactory substitute for the specific education and experience listed above.
• Certification/Licensure:
  None.
• Other:
  Strong organizational skills. Ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines.

The pay range for this position starts at $25.00/hr please note that salaries vary within the range based on factors including, but not limited to, experience, skills, education, certifications, and location.
