Firmware Engineer

Responsibilities

• Architect and develop embedded firmware components that execute real‑time power regulation, protection, and control algorithms (SST operation).
• Own embedded boot loader architecture, embedded security, and common platforms.
• Lead firmware for power electronics embedded systems, ensuring functional and performance requirements are met.
• Work closely with hardware teams to integrate firmware with new or existing hardware components.
• Collaborate with other engineers to solve complex problems, share knowledge, and ensure project milestones are met.
• Stay updated with new technologies, tools, and methodologies in embedded systems.

• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, Mechatronics, etc. with 5+ years of professional experience or combined equivalent experience with evidence of exceptional ability.
• Proficiency in C or C++ for embedded systems.
• Understanding of low‑level programming and hardware interfacing.
• Experience with one or more IDEs and debugging tools.
• Experience with version control systems like Git.
• Knowledge of real‑time programming concepts and real‑time operating systems.
• Ability to write efficient code under resource constraints (memory, CPU).
• Experience with embedded system testing practices.
• Knowledge of digital and analog electronics.
• Ability to travel up to 20% including internationally.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Experience in the domain of energy.
• Open source projects to represent the contribution to the community.
• Build and infrastructure development for firmware projects.
• Building projects from scratch for startup environment.

This role requires working on‑site 5 days a week. We do not offer hybrid or remote options.

Compensation will be determined based on experience, location, and other factors permitted by law.
