CDLA RENO Company Driver T2T; TD

Universal Logistics is seeking reliable, safety-focused CDL‑A Intermodal Company Drivers in the Sparks, NV area to operate truck fleets servicing domestic drayage to and from ports, rail ramps, and customer facilities.

• Operate commercial trucks safely in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
• Conduct pre‑trip and post‑trip vehicle inspections and report any maintenance issues.
• Load and unload cargo as needed, ensuring proper securing of loads.
• Transport goods to assigned destinations within scheduled time frames.
• Maintain electronic or paper logs of working hours, driving hours, and rest periods in accordance with DOT compliance.
• Communicate with dispatch regarding delays, incidents, or route changes.
• Ensure accurate completion of delivery documentation, including bills of lading and delivery receipts.
• Follow planned routes while adjusting for traffic or weather conditions.
• Provide excellent customer service at delivery sites.
• Keep equipment clean and report necessary repairs.

• Minimum age 21.
• Class A CDL.
• At least 6 months of verifiable experience in the last year.
• Clean driving record with proven safe‑driving history.
• No DUI/OWI in the last 5 years.
• No more than 2 moving violations in the last 3 years.
• No more than 2 preventable accidents in the last 3 years.
• Strong time management and communication skills.
• Prior rail experience preferred but not required.

• Ability to sit for extended periods while driving.
• Exposure to varying weather conditions.
• Early morning, late evening, weekend, or holiday shifts may be required.
