Position Description

Ryder is hiring a NON-CDL Truck Driver in Reno, NV — offering weekly pay, excellent benefits, and a driving career you can feel good about.

• $1262 or more per week - and it gets better
• Driver positions pay weekly
• Hourly pay: $25.00 per hour
• Hours per week: 40-50 hours per week
• Schedule:
  
  Monday – Friday, no weekends
• Start time: 8:00 AM

• Deliver solo/team to Lake Tahoe, Carson City, and surrounding areas
• Route: local home daily
• Tractor type: straight truck 26'
• Equipment: electric pallet jack and lift gate
• Freight: tailgate deliveries – doors and windows
• Freight: no touch – hardware equipment
• Freight: touch – cable equipment

• Medical, dental & vision after 30 days

• Minimum 21 years of age
• Minimum of 6 months of verifiable driving experience
• Pass a Ryder drug test
• Must have verifiable driving experience (must be in like equipment if the position being applied for is operating a straight truck or box truck):
• 6 months experience in the past 3 years OR 2 years' experience within the last 5 years OR 5 years' experience within the last 10 years
• Pass a Ryder background and motor vehicle check including drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years
• Pass a DOT physical
• Pass a Ryder road test
• Must have a valid driver’s license
• Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions
• Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations policies and/or procedures

Some positions require additional screening that may include employment and education verification; motor vehicle records check and a road test; and/or badging or background requirements of the customer to which you are assigned.

• This position is primarily responsible for safely driving a vehicle within and requires compliance with safety regulations, continuous training and customer service.
• Additional responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Ensuring compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards and guidelines
• Detecting and eliminating or minimizing safety hazards
• Maintaining accurate records Loading/Unloading freight or assisting in the loading/unloading of freight if required by customer
• Other tasks as assigned
