Client Aviation Manager & G550 Captain — Reno, NV; KRNO

The Mission

As the Client Aviation Manager, you will own the safe, efficient, and compliant operation of a G550 program. You will lead and mentor assigned flight and maintenance personnel, partner closely with the client, and uphold Solairus standards while flying the line as a typed captain.

• Lead day-to-day flight department operations, ensuring alignment with Solairus and FAA manuals, regulations, and company policies.
• Supervise assigned crew and maintenance team members; set expectations for professional appearance, dress code, and conduct.
• Coordinate, track, and review crew and maintenance training; schedule maintenance, test, and training flights.
• Develop and refine scheduling procedures in partnership with the client to meet mission needs.
• Approve PTO and expense reports; conduct personnel meetings and participate in hiring interviews.
• Notify the Client Responsible Officer of pilot-relief needs and support coverage planning.
• Submit timely operational reports and maintain Training Currency and Monthly Flight Time Records.
• Champion the Safety Management System SMS and foster a proactive safety culture.
• Fly as a typed G550 pilot, maintaining high standards of airmanship and regulatory compliance.

• Total flight time: 3,000+ hours.
• PIC: 1,500+ hours.
• MEL: 1,500+ hours; MEL PIC: 500+ hours.
• Turbojet time: 500+ hours.
• Instrument time: 250+ hours.
• Current type rating on Gulfstream G550.
• Current First Class Medical.
• Proven management background with demonstrated leadership.
• NBAA CAM certification or other applicable leadership training preferred.
• Ability to work on-call and complete annual ICAO International Procedures training.
• Located within, or willing to relocate to within, 2 hours of KRNO.
