Material Handler
Job Summary
This position is responsible for all phases of preparing the furniture for delivery, including unboxing, assembly, inspection, and minor product adjustments. The associate may also receive, ship, and store products as needed.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare and unbox the product according to La-Z-Boy specifications.
- Review product against paperwork to verify order completeness and accuracy.
- Assist in loading and unloading furniture and accessories on and off trucks, operating power equipment as occasion.
- Occasionally move up to 350 pounds on a two‑wheel dolly.
- Maintain a clean and organized warehouse.
- Scanning furniture when receiving, moving, or loading into the computer system.
- Receive returned furniture from delivery trucks and place in the correct locations.
- Ensure that all products to be sent back to the vendor are properly packaged and all corresponding paperwork is attached.
- Other duties as required by management, including product preparation, reuse or recycling of revenue commodities, 5S responsibilities, attending company‑required training, and committee participation.

Ability to read, write, and understand basic instructions.
Preferred Requirements- High School Diploma or GED.
- OSHA Certification.
Nearly continuously stand, balance, reach overhead, pull, push, and lift up to 50 lbs. Often repetitive hand motions, walking, bending, stooping, listening, talking, climbing stairs and ladders, crawling, and operating industry equipment.

CompensationBase Compensation Range: $14.24 - $21.52 per hour.
