Inventory Control Distribution Associate II (Equipment Driver)

Location:

Reno, Nevada

Reports to:

Inventory Control Supervisor

Shift: Monday-Friday 8:00AM-4:30PM

The Inventory Control / Cycle Counting / Distribution Associate is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records, ensuring efficient distribution of goods, and operating warehouse equipment safely. This role combines inventory management duties with equipment operation, supporting both warehouse and logistics functions. Will help with daily inventory transactions and perform physical counts and verifications as needed. This role requires strong attention to detail, the ability to identify discrepancies, and the use of inventory management systems to track and update data.

This individual must maintain a positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating in ways that foster good relationships with vendors, customers, co-workers and supervisors, while achieving and enhancing performance standards.
  
 Specific objectives include:
 
· Maintain Inventory Accuracy.
 
· Reduce Inventory Discrepancies.
 
· Utilize Inventory Management Systems.
 
· Optimize Storage Locations.
 
· Ensure Compliance.
 
· Generate cycle counts.
 
· Microsoft Excel & Microsoft Word Proficiency.
 
· Collaborate Across Departments.

Responsibilities:
 
· Operate power industrial equipment safely and efficiently.
 
· Perform cycle counts and physical inventory audits to ensure accuracy.
 
· Track inventory movements using RF scanners and warehouse management systems (SAP).
 
· Investigate discrepancies and resolve issues related to inventory variances.
 
· Assist in processing transfers between warehouses and updating inventory databases.
 
· Generate reports and documentation for inventory adjustments and reconciliations.
 
· Accurate processing of systemic cycle counts in active and bulk pick locations.
 
· Accurate stocking of inventory into assigned active pick locations and High Rack reserve.
 
· Identifying and reporting discrepancies to the Shipping Supervisor and/or Shipping Leader.
 
· Research non conformances identified in the warehouse.
 
· Develop and demonstrate working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word, including the ability to efficiently create, format, and manage spreadsheets and documents for professional use.
 
· Use Microsoft Excel to record, track, and analyze inventory data during cycle counts.
 
· Create and maintain spreadsheets with formulas, filters, and pivot tables to ensure accurate reporting and reconciliation.
 
· Generate inventory variance reports and summaries to support operational decision-making.
 
· Utilize Microsoft Word to document cycle count procedures, findings, and corrective actions.
 
· Prepare professional reports, memos, and communication related to inventory audits and adjustments.
 
· Maintain organized and standardized documentation for compliance and internal review.
 
· Assist in determining root causes on inventory discrepancies and help implement corrective actions to eliminate repetitive errors.
 
· Must be willing to work in any department in the DC as necessary (Shipping, Packing, Picking, Returns-projects, VAS, and QC).
 
· Other duties outlined by Inventory Control Supervisor.
 
· Must always maintain a professional attitude.
 
· Must maintain a clean and safe work environment.
 
· Follows all safety procedures and report safety infractions.
 
· Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
 
· Flexibility in a changing work environment.
