SEKISUI Aerospace is seeking a highly motivated Senior Staff Accountant to join our accounting team. This role is responsible for maintaining the integrity of the general ledger, supporting the month-end close process, and ensuring accurate financial reporting in accordance with GAAP.

What Success Looks Like

Month‑End GL Close
- Prepare and post journal entries, including accruals, deferrals, and adjustments
- Support and execute monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes
- Review general ledger activity and ensure accuracy and completeness
- Analyze financial results and investigate variances
- Prepare and maintain detailed account reconciliations for balance sheet accounts
- Reconcile subledgers to the general ledger (AP, AR, fixed assets)
- Maintain supporting schedules and roll forwards
Asset Management & Technical Accounting
- Manage fixed assets, including capitalization, depreciation, and disposals
- Maintain amortization schedules for leases, prepaid expenses, and other assets
- Manage accounting process in areas such as leases and intercompany transactions, including consolidation of financial statements and preparation of supporting schedules
Audit & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting policies
- Support external audits by preparing schedules and responding to requests
- Assist with tax‑related filings and reporting requirements
- Maintain documentation for audit readiness and internal control compliance, including supporting ongoing internal controls monitoring and testing activities
Cross‑Functional Support & Process Improvement
- Partner with AP, AR, and operations teams to resolve accounting issues
- Provide guidance on proper coding and accounting treatment
- Identify and implement process improvements and automation opportunities
Qualifications
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance preferred
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
- Manufacturing or inventory experience preferred
Technical Skills
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and general ledger accounting
- Experience with month‑end close and reconciliations
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Experience with ERP systems (e.g., EPICOR, SAP, Oracle, or similar)
