Principal IT Business Analyst - Enterprise Sales, Marketing & Analytics
The role of the Principal Business Analyst on the IS Solution Enablement Team (Enterprise Sales Marketing & Analytics) is that of an advisor, mentor, driver, and leader. Recognized as an expert of Business Analysis and key influencer of the JMS Sales/Trade Marketing and Analytics domain, the Principal BA will operate with broad latitude in a complex environment to challenge and propose innovative solutions across many functions of the organization.
This leadership position requires limited guidance, strong relationship building, a customer service mindset, excellent communication skills, problem-solving ability, critical thinking, and a commitment to quality deliverables.
Location:
Orrville, OH (Close proximity to Cleveland/Akron)
Work Arrangements:
Hybrid ~25% in office presence
- Cultivate relationships, learn and lead the business:
Builds positive, trusting relationships with business customers and develops a deep understanding of what they need. - Drive and deliver project work:
Leads team of BAs on major cross-functional projects and/or defines business requirements based on translation of business needs and gaps collaboratively with the SME leading to Functional Design. - Manage medium to large-size projects:
Manages cross-functional projects implementing new technology or capabilities supporting multiple business areas with complex dependencies. - Support and maintain existing things:
Helps teams use operational data to improve stability and performance of their domains. - Develop other BA’s:
Helps to advance business analysis within Smucker as a discipline, practice, and profession.

What we are looking for:Minimum Requirements:
- 8+ years of relevant work experience with either a Bachelor’s degree in a related field or specialized training (including on-the-job)
- Experience in supporting cross-functional business domains and system applications
- In-depth knowledge of the sales and trade promotion management systems
- Experience in Cloud application development (AWS, GCP, and/or Azure Cloud)
- Experience with SaaS implementations including complex integration development
Additional skills and experience that we think would make someone successful in this role (not required):
- Prior experience in Consumer Packaged Goods, Marketing Operations, or Information Services
- Experience contributing or leading BA professional development (i.e., COE, IIBA)
- Experience leading or influencing Data Governance processes
