  • Support contract administration, including logging and tracking submittals, RFIs, change orders, and pay applications
  • Help coordinate with architects, engineers, and consultants to track design questions and follow up on outstanding items
  • Assist the on-site Construction Manager and Project Manager in monitoring field activity against the overall project plan
  • Prepare draft status updates and meeting materials for district stakeholders, facilities staff, and the Project Manager
  • Support procurement and bidding activities, including scope documentation, bid tabulation, and contractor qualification tracking
  • Help monitor compliance with public bidding requirements, prevailing wage, and district procurement policies
  • Assist in coordinating project phasing and sequencing around the school calendar to help minimize disruption to students and staff
  • Support project-level risk tracking and help document mitigation actions
  • Assist with project closeout tasks, including punch list tracking, collection of as-builts and warranties, and final documentation
  • Help prepare project status reports and presentation materials for internal and district review
Qualifications/Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, or a related field (preferred); relevant experience considered in lieu of degree
  • 1–3 years of experience in construction, project coordination, or a related field; K-12 or public education project exposure a plus

  • Familiarity with public bidding, prevailing wage, and school construction requirements a plus
  • Proficiency with, or willingness to learn, project management and scheduling software (e.g., Procore, Primavera P6, MS Project)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to coordinate across owners, designers, and contractors
  • Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and time-management skills, with close attention to detail
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications, or eagerness to develop this skill
  • PMP or CAPM certification, or progress toward certification, a plus but not required
