Tutor Position

Responsibilities:
- Tutor students in English. Grade levels range from pre-K to 11th grade.
- Review and check-off student classwork and essays during class time to ensure understanding.
- Be responsible for student progress, satisfaction, and experience.
- No grading needed outside of class time. Teaching materials and curriculum provided.
Requirements:
- At least Sophomore standing in a college or university.
- Knowledge of correct grammar, spelling, and English usage.
- An educator who must be comfortable with following established curriculum models and content without deviation.
- Have strong classroom and student management skills with the ability to balance the needs of all students.
- Invested in student improvement and results-oriented.
- Ability to deal with students in a caring and confident manner.
- Experience in a tutorial program is preferred, but not required!
- Special consideration for those who want to be teachers.
Work Schedule:
- Shifts are 4 to 5 hours on week days and/or 3 hours on weekend mornings
- Weekday shifts from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM
- Weekend shifts from 9:30 AM to 12:00 PM
Compensation: $20.50 - $25.00 per hour
