Employee Development Specialist 4 (Aerospace Skills Instructor)
Duration: 12 Months
Shift: 2nd Shift (3:00 PM – 11:00 PM)
Pay Rate: $79 / hr on W2
Key Responsibilities
- Training Delivery: Serve as lead instructor delivering 8-hour classroom and practical sessions in specialized areas (Electrical, Structural, Seal, Quality, or Systems).
- Curriculum Optimization: Define project scope, adapt training content to meet business learning objectives, and recommend process enhancements.
- Student Coaching: Facilitate learning events, evaluate student performance, run guided skills practices, and ensure structural safety precautions are maintained.
- Advanced Mentoring: Conduct Train-the-Trainer sessions to qualify new instructors and coach junior delivery personnel.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with instructional designers, engineers, and programmers to develop creative job aids, capstone activities, and training tools.
Requirements
- Aerospace Background: 3+ years of experience in aerospace manufacturing operations or manufacturing support.
- Instructional Experience: Proven background in coaching, instructing, or employee development facilitation.
- Technical Literacy: Experience working with detailed aerospace work instructions, blueprint reading, and drawing interpretation.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand, talk, and walk for long periods of time (teaching full 8-hour classes).
- Compliance: Must be a U.S. Person for Export Compliance. Background check and drug test required upon offer acceptance.
- Attendance: Regular and predictable attendance is strictly mandatory.
Preferred Skills
- 10+ years of related work experience (or Bachelor's + 10 years, Master's + 8 years).
- Hands-on experience as an aircraft mechanic (Electrician, Structure, Wing, or Spar Assembly).
- Experience conducting manufacturing training needs assessments and job analyses.
