Renton Team Read is an after‑school reading program that hires, trains, and pays teens from the Renton Teacher Academy and the Renton Aspiring Educators to work as paid reading coaches (tutors) one‑on‑one with 2nd and 3rd graders at Campbell Hill Elementary who are not yet reading at grade level.
What does a Reading Coach do?Reading coaches help develop and improve the reading skills of elementary students. Team Read will provide the training and materials you need to be a great Reading Coach.
When and where would I work?Renton Team Read teen coach training starts in mid/end of October and the program runs through the school year. Programming is Tuesday and Thursday (weekly, excluding holidays and breaks) from 3:15pm-4:45pm and serves Campbell Hill Elementary School students.
