Togetherhood is now in DC!

We’ve built an incredible network of over 400 teachers, coaches, and instructors in New York, Philadelphia, New Jersey, and Connecticut. Now Togetherhood is here in the DC area, and we’re looking for amazing instructors who are seeking flexible, good-paying, supplemental work, and are excited about having the freedom to use their own lesson plans and curriculum.

What You’ll Do

We are seeking versatile Teaching Artists and Enrichment Providers who are fluent in French to lead engaging, hands-on classes. You will be responsible for creating a supportive environment where students can explore their interests, develop new skills, and express themselves.

• Develop age-appropriate visual arts, performing arts, textile arts, or STEAM curriculum for after-school students

• Lead weekly in-person classes with enthusiasm and expertise

• Establish a well-structured and lively classroom that keeps students engaged

• Foster a positive, supportive, and encouraging learning environment for students of varying skill levels

• Build connections with students in a warm and inclusive environment

• Track student growth and offer positive, helpful feedback

• Arrive prepared, on time, and ready to teach

• Create a memorable experience for the children in your class

Who You Are

• Proficient in the visual arts, performing arts, textile arts, or STEAM and confident leading your own class

• Energetic, creative, and skilled at engaging young learners

• Reliable, professional, and enthusiastic about working with students

• Able to create positive class community and build relationships with students

• Flexible and able to adapt teaching methods to meet individual student needs

• Passionate about arts, creativity and connection

• Has a strong work ethic and do whatever it takes mind set

$90 - $120 an hour

Teachers in the Togetherhood network are paid per class, either flat rate or per-student (determined by the partner school). This is contracted, supplemental 1099 work. There is a separate materials budget for teachers to use for classes requiring one.
