Role Summary
Alaska Airlines is seeking a Flight Simulator Engineer to join the team to provide support and expertise in Flight Simulator Training Devices (FSTDs). This role supports the FSTDs, allowing Alaska Airlines to meet its current and future training objectives, and ensures their availability by applying engineering, experience, logic, reasoning, and ingenuity in a systematic effort to bring closure to complex technical issues.
Responsibilities- The Simulator Technician III maintains the flight simulator and support engineering staff with software and hardware updates to ensure the training devices are appropriately configured and meet Alaska Airlines (AS) training requirements.
- The Simulator Engineer (P2) is responsible for 24/7 Flight Simulator Training Device (FSTD) engineering coverage and resolves complex FSTD discrepancies through troubleshooting and repair utilizing fault-finding techniques. As an individual contributor, this role supports engineering activities for the FSTDs, allowing Alaska Airlines to meet its current and future training objectives.
- The Senior Flight Simulator Engineer (P3) is the subject matter expert in Flight Simulator Training Devices (FSTDs). As an individual contributor, this role ensures their availability by applying engineering, experience, logic, reasoning, and ingenuity in a systematic effort to bring closure to complex technical issues. This Engineer also exercises considerable latitude and evaluates major updates to enhance and develop department technical infrastructure and capability and to overcome obsolescence issues.

Salary DetailsPay will be based on multiple factors, including and not limited to location, relevant experience/level and skillset while balancing internal equity relative to other Alaska/Hawaiian/Horizon employees. Alaska/Hawaiian/Horizon is committed to fair, unbiased compensation along with competitive benefits in all locations in which we operate.
