Role OverviewThe Project Manager for nuclear engineering services and EPC projects will function in a mid‑level capacity. You will own multiple medium to large services or larger EPC projects, including existing plant modifications, extended power uprate projects, small modular reactor deployment, and the restart and life extension of nuclear plants. The role reports to the client site located in Richland, WA and requires U.S. citizenship or naturalized U.S. citizenship.
Key Responsibilities- Provide technical support for client projects with design review, design engineering, and development engineering services.
- Support projects with feasibility studies and cost estimates.
- Provide proposal support, including technical specification preparation, RFP support, and bid evaluation.
- Oversee EPC contractors for client projects.
- Actively promote nuclear and industrial safety culture.
- Oversee planning, development, and tracking of services or EPC projects, including performance metrics, schedule, quality, contractual compliance, safety, and client satisfaction.
- Manage all aspects of proposals and opportunity pursuits for small to medium EPC or services projects.
- Work with discipline engineers, subject matter experts, and construction managers to execute projects to high standards.
- Manage escalated problems or issues.
Acts as a project manager and leads a project team, which may vary by project.
Preferred Qualifications- 10–15 years of relevant experience with increasing responsibility.
- Experience with nuclear power projects.
- Engineering services or EPC project management experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- U.S. citizenship or naturalized U.S. citizenship due to nuclear export control requirements.
- Ability to complete pre‑employment onboarding requirements, including background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle records search.
- Reporting to the client site in Richland, WA.
- Typical office and construction environment with extreme weather, high noise, safety hazards (electric currents, scaffolding, high places), exposure to chemicals, fumes, odors, dusts, mists, gases, and poor ventilation.
- Physical tasks may include sitting, walking, talking, reading, writing, keyboarding, driving, filing, reaching, stooping, crouching, bending, and standing for extended periods, and lifting up to 40 pounds.
