Industrial Engineering Methods Process Analyst
Our Industrial Engineering contractors will focus on documenting time standards and processes to focus on production stability. This includes observing build processes and recommending process improvements through lean methodologies. Locations:
Everett, Renton, Seattle, Auburn, and Puyallup/Fredrick son.
Position Overview:
Our Methods Process Analyst contractors will focus on production stability, which includes:
- Analyzing performance to daily schedules or orders
- Learning the production processes to ensure correct sequencing and resource alignment
- Reducing or eliminate safety and ergonomic issues
- Identifying quality defects trends through root cause analysis and providing recommendations to reduce or eliminate defects
- Providing recommendations on process improvements that reduce non-value added work which would improve cost and flow
- Depending on the internal and external impacts to the team, you may be building disruption recovery plans using resource capacity and constraint analysis to get back to the baseline plan while working to mitigate impacts to the downstream work statement and major milestones
Our teams are very busy focused on stabilizing the current production system while looking ahead at future rate changes and introduction of new models/customers into our build plans. With so many moving pieces, improving our production system processes can be initiated and implemented by anyone, regardless of their level or years of service. All it takes is the right person who will ask questions and be willing to work with all support functions to find ways to reduce risks and improve safety, quality, cost and flow.
Candidates will be engaging with all manufacturing, engineering, and production-supporting organizations and must be a self-starter and a collaborative team player.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- Bachelor's degree with an emphasis in business related curriculum such as:
Finance, Business Administration, Business Management, Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, or Economics. - Skilled in effective time management, communication, and organizational skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite products.
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- 1 or more years of experience working in an engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, and/or production environment.
- 1 or more years of experience defining, developing, implementing, or improving production processes.
- 1 or more years of experience working with Lean Manufacturing with knowledge of lean principles.
- Experience developing and deploying standard processes.
- Proficient in structured problem solving.
Describe the project/day-to-day activities they will be working on:
We are looking for candidates willing to lead initiatives around production stabilization and sharing Business Administration methodologies applied throughout the industry. Ideal candidates would have experience with capacity planning, resource utilization, process improvement identification through lean methodologies, supply chain planning and logistics, collaborating with multiple support organizations, and developing visual tools to identify performance metrics and areas of opportunity.
