Equipment & Tool Designer
Location:
Renton, WA - Onsite
Salary Range: $50 to $55/hr on W2
Contract duration: 6+ months with possibility to extension

*** Company is seeking innovative and detail-oriented Equipment and Tool Designers to join our Common Tools team as part of our Production Engineering organization. In this role, you will contribute to the implementation and sustainment of new and existing build plans, significantly impacting the quality and cost performance of our commercial aviation programs. Skills & Qualifications
- Related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Ability to work onsite in Renton, WA
- Applicants must be able to work directly for Artech on W2
- Prior work experience at the client or in the client's industry
Skills & Qualifications
- Associate's Degree and 3 or more years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Familiarity with 3D Modeling tools
- Experience with drawing, reading, and interpreting Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
- 1 or more years of experience with Project Management
- Investigate and develop complex equipment and tooling concepts and specifications to satisfy aerospace product design and build requirements
- Participate in design reviews, collect design requirements, and create and revise drawings and models
- Research the application of robotics, automation, and new technology to support the build plan
- Create off-load packages, specifications, purchase requests, and usage instructions for equipment and tooling
- Check designs for compliance with safety, producibility, maintainability, reliability, ergonomic factors, and regulatory requirements
- Develop and document equipment and tooling inspection and usage instructions, preventative maintenance plans, and user training
- Provide technical support for engineering changes and discrepancies by investigating problems and analyzing data to identify solutions
- Maintain hardware and software configuration
- Assess and make recommendations for the disposition of equipment and tooling
