Equipment And Tool Designer
Onsite Renton WA Seeking a Equipment and Tool Designers join our Common Tools team in Renton Washington as part of our Production Engineering organization. In this role, you will serve as contributors to help support the implementation and sustainment of new and existing build plans that significantly impact the quality and cost performance of the program. Primary Responsibilities:
- Investigate and develop complex equipment and tooling concepts and specifications to satisfy aerospace product design and build requirements.
- Participate in design reviews, collect design requirements, create and revise drawings and models, research the application of robotics, automation and new technology to support the build plan.
- Create off-load packages, specifications, purchase requests and usage instructions for equipment and tooling.
- Check designs for compliance with safety, producibility, maintainability, reliability, ergonomic factors and regulatory requirements.
- Develop and document equipment and tooling inspection and usage instructions, preventative maintenance plans, and user training.
- Provide technical support for engineering changes and discrepancies by investigating problems and analyzing data to identify solutions.
- Maintain hardware and software configuration.
- Assess and make recommendations for disposition of equipment and tooling.
Basic Qualifications:
- 3 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Associate's Degree and 3 or more years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Familiar with 3D Modeling tools
- Experience with drawing, reading and interpreting Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
- 1 or more years of experience with Project Management experience
Education:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Associate) and typically 3 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Bachelor+1 years' related work experience, 5 years' related work experience, etc.). Ability to pass Background, Drug Screen and if applicable Medical (i.e. Vision, Hearing, or Physical) if Required by Client.
