Equipment & Tool Designer

We are seeking Equipment and Tool Designers to join a Production Engineering team. This role contributes to the implementation and sustainment of new and existing build plans, impacting program quality and cost performance. We are looking for detail-oriented individuals who can solve complex production challenges in a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Investigate and develop complex equipment and tooling concepts and specifications to satisfy aerospace product design and build requirements.
• Participate in design reviews, collect design requirements, and create and revise drawings and models.
• Research the application of robotics, automation, and new technology to support the build plan.
• Create off-load packages, specifications, purchase requests, and usage instructions for equipment and tooling.
• Check designs for compliance with safety, producibility, maintainability, reliability, and ergonomic factors.
• Develop and document equipment and tooling inspection and usage instructions, preventative maintenance plans, and user training.
• Provide technical support for engineering changes and discrepancies by investigating problems and analyzing data to identify solutions.
• Maintain hardware and software configuration.
• Assess and make recommendations for the disposition of equipment and tooling.

Required Qualifications

• High School diploma required;
  Associate's degree or higher preferred
• 3+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• An Associate's Degree combined with 3 or more years of related work experience.
• Familiarity with 3D Modeling tools.
• Experience with drawing, reading, and interpreting Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
• At least 1 year of project management experience.

Work Environment

This is a full-time, on-site position. The standard work schedule is the first shift, with start times varying between 5 AM and 9 AM based on manager discretion. This role requires the ability to travel between Everett and Seattle locations as needed. The position requires status as a U.S. Person for export compliance purposes.
