Our client, a leader in the healthcare and financial services industry, is seeking a dedicated and innovative Finance Business Transformation Manager to join their dynamic team. The Finance Business Transformation Manager plays a critical role in reshaping Finance operations by leading process optimization, enabling new technologies, and supporting the transition to a modern ERP and financial operating model. This role will drive transformational change across people, processes, and systems, ensuring Finance processes become scalable, efficient, and aligned with organizational growth.
This position partners closely with Finance leadership, Accounting & Reporting, Revenue Cycle, Budgeting, IT, and operational stakeholders to ensure end‑to‑end delivery of process redesign and sustainable adoption during and after ERP/PULSE program implementations.
Key Responsibilities
Finance Process & Systems Transformation
Lead change efforts across Finance functions—people, processes, and technology—to support new data models, analytic capabilities, and operating structures.
Drive preparation and readiness for Finance teams transitioning from manual and Excel‑driven processes to automated, system‑based workflows.
Redesign Finance processes to be scalable, efficient, compliant, and workflow‑driven.
Lead operational alignment across Finance, Accounting, Revenue Cycle, and Information Systems to support transformation and ERP/PULSE deployment.
Manage conversion readiness for all Finance data sets.
Cross-Functional Partnership & Readiness
Facilitate readiness activities between Finance, Revenue Cycle, and Pharmacy teams to streamline the patient and pharmacy revenue cycle.
Shorten and transform the month‑end close and accounting cycle through improved accuracy, automation, and workflow standardization.
Reduce reliance on Excel and eliminate “shadow systems” by supporting system-based redesign.
Change Management & Adoption
Partner with Implementation Teams, Change Management, Organizational Learning, and the PMO to support training, communications, and post‑go‑live adoption.
Drive alignment between business requirements and system capabilities throughout the implementation lifecycle.
Support finance leaders and staff during pre‑, mid‑, and post‑implementation phases with process education and new workflow ownership.
Compliance, Controls & Documentation
Complete required documentation, including:
COSO internal control alignment
RACQI documentation (Responsible, Accountable, Consulted, Informed, Quality Impact)
Future-state process maps, flowcharts, and standard operating procedures
Lead improvements in day‑to‑day financial operations and reduce process variation.
Note:
This role interfaces with Supply Chain and Warehouse Management Systems but is not accountable for SCM processes.
Deliverables
Future-state Finance process maps and detailed flowcharting.
Recommended Finance policy updates based on redesigned processes.
Five-day close checklist improvements.
Updated interdepartmental integration documentation.
Revenue cycle accounting process documentation.
Month-end redesign plans and updated Excel templates tied to financial close, planning, and reporting.
Control and compliance narratives aligned to COSO principles.
Qualifications
Experience leading finance transformation initiatives in a complex, multi‑department environment.
Strong understanding of accounting operations, revenue cycle processes, and financial reporting.
Prior involvement with ERP implementations (Oracle preferred; other Tier 1 ERPs acceptable).
Experience in process improvement, workflow redesign, and change management.
Ability to collaborate with technical teams, operational leaders, and finance staff.
Strong communication skills and the ability to manage cross-functional expectations.
