A well-established outpatient rehabilitation organization is seeking a compassionate and motivated Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant to join its clinical team.

Working under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist, the Physical Therapist Assistant will provide individualized treatment, help patients improve mobility and function, and support their progress toward established rehabilitation goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide physical therapy treatments according to the patient's established plan of care
  • Carry out therapeutic exercises, functional activities, manual techniques, gait training, balance activities, and other approved interventions
  • Observe and document each patient's response to treatment
  • Communicate changes in patient condition, progress, or tolerance to the supervising Physical Therapist
  • Assist patients in improving strength, mobility, coordination, balance, endurance, and functional independence
  • Educate patients and caregivers regarding exercises, treatment techniques, safety precautions, and home programs
  • Complete treatment notes and other required clinical documentation accurately and on time
  • Maintain professional communication with Physical Therapists, physicians, clinical employees, patients, and caregivers
  • Coordinate effectively with rehabilitation aides and other members of the clinical team
  • Prepare treatment areas and ensure equipment is clean, safe, and ready for use
  • Support a welcoming, respectful, and patient-centered clinic environment
  • Participate in clinical meetings, training programs, continuing education, and quality-improvement activities
  • Follow all applicable privacy, safety, ethical, billing, and regulatory requirements
  • Perform additional patient-care responsibilities within the Physical Therapist Assistant's permitted scope of practice
Required Qualifications
  • Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
  • Current Physical Therapist Assistant license or eligibility to obtain one
  • Current CPR certification
  • Current tuberculosis screening or ability to meet applicable health-screening requirements
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and patient-service skills
  • Ability to follow established plans of care and clinical instructions
  • Strong documentation, organization, and time-management skills
  • Ability to work independently while remaining closely coordinated with the supervising Physical Therapist
  • Commitment to compassionate, ethical, and evidence-based patient care
  • Ability to manage an appropriate caseload in a fast-paced outpatient environment
  • Proficiency with electronic medical records and standard workplace technology
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous outpatient orthopedic rehabilitation experience
  • Experience treating post-surgical, sports-related, occupational, or musculoskeletal conditions
  • Experience providing therapeutic exercise, gait training, balance activities, and functional rehabilitation
  • Familiarity with insurance authorization and clinical documentation requirements
  • Interest in continued clinical education and professional development

Compensation and Incentives

Compensation starts at approximately $30 per hour
, with final pay determined by experience, qualifications, schedule, specialty skills, and other job-related factors.
