Job OverviewThe Senior UKG Analyst is responsible for the IT support, configuration, and optimization of all components of the UKG platform, serving as a subject matter expert across the organization. This role partners closely with HR, Operations, and IT leadership to support complex system configurations, integrations, upgrades, and ongoing enhancements, with a strong understanding of how UKG changes impact payroll processing. Experience supporting UKG in a unionized environment is preferred, including translating collective bargaining agreements into accurate, compliant system configuration.
Responsibilities- Provide IT support and configuration for all UKG platform components.
- Partner with HR, Operations, and IT leadership for system configurations, integrations, upgrades, and enhancements.
- Ensure changes to UKG do not adversely affect payroll processing.
- Lead small projects, documenting change control and system problems.
- Perform end‑user support, including troubleshooting and change documentation.
- Maintain security of data center systems and information according to policies.
- Provide after‑hours support as required.
- Organize, schedule, and chair meetings; publish minutes.
- Engage vendors for support and manage related communications.
- Maintain documentation of all tasks and projects, including scope statements, work plans, and specifications.
- Develop and maintain business process and functional flow charts.
- Plan and execute testing plans to validate system functionality.
- Train and mentor staff on technical and non‑technical skills.
- Master’s degree, or equivalent bachelor’s degree and four years related experience, or higher degree/experience as specified.
- 6–9 years of IT job experience.
- Proven experience in application/system support in a multiple system environment.
- Experience leading small projects and managing complex project plans.
- Strong analysis, troubleshooting, and decision‑making skills.
- Understanding of healthcare computing environments.
- Self‑directed, quick learner with strong attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Microsoft Office and Microsoft Visio proficiency.
- Current application certifications and commitment to professional development.
- Knowledge of enterprise integration concepts.
Requires ability to move PCs and printers weighing up to 40 lbs. Requires ability to plan, organize, and handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Tolerates ambiguity in instructions and work situations.
