Governance Analyst – Data Domains & Dictionary (Job )
We are seeking a detail-oriented and strategic Governance Analyst to support the development and management of our enterprise data governance framework.
Responsibilities- Domain Structure Development – Define and maintain enterprise-wide data domain taxonomy. Collaborate with data stewards and business units to align domain definitions with business processes. Support metadata tagging and classification within each domain.
- Data Dictionary Management – Design and implement a centralized data dictionary using governance tools (e.g., Collibra, Informatica, Alation). Ensure consistent definitions, formats, and business rules across systems. Partner with data owners to validate and update dictionary entries.
- Governance Operations – Assist in the development of governance policies and standards. Support data quality initiatives by identifying gaps and inconsistencies. Participate in governance councils and working groups.
- Stakeholder Engagement – Work closely with IT, analytics, and business teams to gather requirements. Provide training and documentation to promote adoption of governance tools and practices. Act as a liaison between technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Data Management, Business, or related field.
- 2+ years of experience in data governance, metadata management, or data quality.
- Familiarity with data governance tools and frameworks (Acryl Data).
- Strong analytical and communication skills.
- Experience with enterprise data environments and cross-functional collaboration.
- Must be able to work for a US-based company without requiring visa sponsorship.
- Experience with PASS or other specific authentication and data systems.
- Knowledge of Looker or other BI platforms.
- Understanding of data cataloging and lineage tracking.
Hourly contract rate range of $55.00 to $65.00 based on experience and qualifications, as well as geographical market and business considerations.
