World Services LLC is seeking a Senior Solutions Architect to lead the design and advisory strategy for transitioning NAVAIR programs from manual release processes to secure, automated CI/CD pipelines aligned with Dev Sec Ops  principles and Authority to Operate (ATO) requirements. This role combines technical architecture, change enablement, and stakeholder advisory to drive scalable, compliant modernization.

This position requires onsite support at various U.S. Navy and NAVAIR locations, depending on program needs. Candidates should expect to work in secure government environments and collaborate directly with program offices, engineering teams, and mission stakeholders. While some limited flexibility may be available, this role is primarily onsite to ensure effective coordination, security compliance, and hands‑on support of Dev Sec Ops  transformation efforts within operational Navy environments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Architecture & Strategy
    • Design end-to-end Dev Sec Ops  and CI/CD architectures for Navy aviation systems
    • Define transition roadmap from manual change management to automated pipelines
    • Establish system architecture aligned with DoD/Navy compliance frameworks (RMF, NIST 800-53)
    • Lead development of Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) and cloud‑architecture strategies
    • Advise on system integration across legacy and modernized environments
  • ATO & Security Integration
    • Architect CI/CD pipelines that support continuous ATO (cATO) objectives
    • Ensure security is embedded across pipeline stages (static/dynamic scans, compliance checks)
    • Collaborate with cybersecurity stakeholders to align with RMF accreditation processes
    • Define traceability, auditability, and compliance automation within pipelines
  • Change Management & Enablement
    • Develop frameworks for organizational transition to Dev Sec Ops  operating models
    • Guide program offices on adoption of automated delivery and release practices
    • Establish governance models for pipeline usage, approvals, and release controls
    • Drive cultural shift from manual to automated, low‑risk, continuous deployments
  • Stakeholder Engagement
    • Serve as senior technical advisor to NAVAIR leadership and program offices
    • Lead workshops, architecture reviews, and technical briefings
    • Translate mission needs into scalable technical solutions
    • Coordinate across engineering, cybersecurity, QA, and program management teams
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field (Master’s)
  • 12+ years of experience in systems architecture, cloud, or Dev Sec Ops  environments
  • Demonstrated experience supporting DoD/Navy programs (NAVAIR)
  • Deep knowledge of:
    • CI/CD tools (Git, Azure Dev Ops, Jenkins, etc.)
    • IaC (Terraform, Cloud Formation)
    • Containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
    • Strong understanding of RMF, ATO, and DoD cybersecurity requirements
  • Experience leading large‑scale modernization or Dev Sec Ops  transformation efforts
  • Active Secret clearance (or higher)
  • Experience implementing cATO within DoD environments
  • Familiarity with Navy Team Managed Deployment (TMD) concepts
  • SAFe, Agile, or Dev Sec Ops  certifications
  • Experience briefing senior government stakeholders
Benefits

Employees benefit from working alongside experienced industry leaders on high‑impact security initiatives, gaining exposure to cutting‑edge technologies and Dev Sec Ops  practices. The company fosters a culture of innovation, continuous learning, and measurable results, offering opportunities for professional growth, technical certification support, and meaningful contributions to mission‑critical programs and offers competitive benefit package.
