Manufacturing Business Analyst I
Location(s): Renton, WA
Job Type: Full-time - Exempt
The Manufacturing Business Analyst I is responsible for supporting data-driven decision-making through business intelligence, reporting, and process automation. This role lives on the production floor but partners closely with ERP, engineering, and other support teams to develop insights, improve processes, and enhance system capabilities. The position emphasizes Power BI dashboard development, Power Automate workflow automation, and ERP data analysis to drive operational efficiency and visibility across the organization.

Tasks:
- Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards, including data modeling, DAX calculations, and visualization best practices.
- Build and support Power Automate flows to automate manual processes and improve operational efficiency.
- Draft from scratch (and modify stored procedures) that execute complex SQL queries to extract, validate, and analyze data from ERP and manufacturing systems.
- Experience working with ERP data structures and translating front-end queries (e.g., BAQs) into backend SQL logic.
- Assist with ERP reporting, data cleanup, and basic troubleshooting.
- Create clear, concise written and visual reports summarizing trends, insights, and recommendations.
- Collaborate with manufacturing, engineering, quality and operations teams to understand business needs and translate them into data or reporting requirements.
- Support process improvement initiatives by identifying data gaps, inefficiencies, and automation opportunities.
- Document business processes (current and future state), data flows, and reporting standards.
- Participate in cross-functional projects and support system enhancements or integrations.
- Experience with Power BI, including data modeling and report development.
- Experience building Power Automate workflows.
- Ability to write and interpret SQL queries.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience working in a manufacturing or operations environment (internships acceptable).
- Ability to translate business needs into technical requirements.
- Experience with ERP systems (e.g., Epicor, SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics).
- Familiarity with manufacturing KPIs (OEE, scrap, throughput, downtime).
- Exposure to Lean, Six Sigma, Value Stream Mapping, or continuous improvement methodologies.
- Experience with automation or scripting tools (e.g., VBA, Python).
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field required.
Experience:
1-3 years of experience in business analysis, data analytics, manufacturing operations, or related roles. (Internships and co-op experience accepted.)
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations or Additional Eligibility Qualifications
Preferred: Microsoft Power BI, Power Platform, or SQL-related certifications.
Computer Skills:
Power BI, Power Automate, SQL, ERP systems, Excel, data modeling, workflow automation tools.

Annual Salary: $91,500 - $100,000
