Network Engineer III – Hybrid Role
Hybrid role (3 days/week in office) at multiple locations:
Burlington, Renton, Spokane, Vancouver, Portland, Medford, Salt Lake City, Boise, Lewiston, or Fargo. Candidates must reside within commutable distance of that location or be willing to relocate.

What You Bring to CambiaQualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 5 years of relevant networking experience or equivalent college coursework.
- Experience in network routing and switching design, implementation, and administration using the Cisco command line; firewall design and administration using Palo Alto Firewalls, Zscaler, Illumio, and F5; experience with Net Brain; experience with automation tools.
Skills and Attributes:
- Knowledge of Wide Area Networking using ATM or MPLS.
- DNS/DHCP administration; IDS/IPS administration; hardware‑based server load balancing; proxy services administration.
- Ability to troubleshoot and install T1, DS3, MPLS, Internet, and other carrier services.
- Experience supporting Voice Over IP technologies.
- Strong organizational, problem‑solving, and decision‑making skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal direction and to plan and manage one’s own workload.
- Analytical skills to diagnose and resolve network and security performance problems or outages.
- Capability to automate network and security infrastructure tasks and document them.
- Experience administering, coordinating, and facilitating complex network and security systems hardware, software, and management systems.
- Troubleshooting of structured cabling systems.
- Adaptability to rapidly changing technologies and methodologies.
- Responsible for the quality, continuous improvement, analysis, and monitoring of Cambia’s integrated voice, video, and data communications infrastructure, including VoIP technologies and security systems.
- Design, install, configure, and troubleshoot network and security systems while creating and maintaining related policies, procedures, standards, and documentation.
- Prepare technical recommendations and proposals for solutions based on business requirements, industry trends, and standards while adhering to all corporate and RITS policies.
- Respond to and elevate customer issues, manage vendor and contractor relationships, and represent the team in cross‑departmental meetings.
- Provide trending reports and analysis of communications infrastructure to support data‑driven decision‑making.
- Contribute to corporate quality initiatives by encouraging team improvements and actively seeking ways to maximize efficiency.
- Provide input for performance evaluations and mentor Network Engineer I and II personnel as needed.
- Conduct daily monitoring and maintenance of infrastructure, providing rapid resolution of outages and performance degradations.
- Ensure continuous operation of cybersecurity controls and perform regular vulnerability assessments of network and security infrastructure.
- Work closely with other IT teams to evaluate emerging technologies, propose feasibility studies, and assess implementation risk.
- Collaborate on data integration projects and provide guidance to business teams on secure connectivity options.
Duties are performed primarily in an office environment; at a desk in a call center environment. Requires occasional travel for network and security installations, meetings, and conferences. Will be required to be on‑call 7 days a week, 24 hours a day on a departmental rotational basis.
Compensation- Oregon, Washington, Utah, and Idaho:
Expected hiring range $95,000 – $119,000; full salary range $95,000 – $155,000; bonus target 15%. - North Dakota:
Expected hiring range $90,000 – $119,000; full salary range $90,000 – $149,000.
