IT Project Manager
We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Program Manager to lead the successful delivery of complex, large-scale IT programs. You will be responsible for the full Project Management Lifecycle-from initiation and planning through iterative development, continuous testing, execution, and closeout.
As the primary technical point of contact, you will bridge the gap between infrastructure teams (SaaS, PaaS, on-premise), application developers, QA, and business stakeholders to ensure high-performance delivery.
Key ResponsibilitiesEnd-to-End Program Leadership: Manage multiple concurrent initiatives of varying sizes, ensuring all project objectives align with stakeholder goals.
Agile & Waterfall Expert: Guide teams through the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) using hybrid methodologies, defining deliverables, monitoring sprints, and managing backlogs.
Stakeholder Management: Provide thought leadership, manage vendor relationships, and prepare executive-level steering committee communications and status reports.
Operational Excellence: Identify dependencies, mitigate risks, and manage project resources to ensure schedules remain on track.
Team Leadership: Foster an atmosphere of trust and innovation; provide clear direction and coaching to team members to ensure peak performance.
Experience: 12+ years of experience managing concurrent, large-scale IT initiatives.
Project History: Minimum of 4 individual multi-year project implementation experiences.
Methodology: Proven success leading initiatives within an Agile environment
.Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business, Finance, or a related field.
Certifications: PMP certification AND a PMI-ACP or Agile/Scrum Master certification are required
.Tooling Proficiency: Advanced skills in MS Office Suite, MS Project, MS Visio, and Atlassian Jira/Confluence.
Presence: Must be based in the DMV (DC, Maryland, Virginia) area.
On-Site Commitment: Must be willing to work from the Washington, DC office at least 3 days per week.
