Job Description:
The Project Manager will lead the execution of complex projects while maintaining a tactical focus on project objectives, timelines, budgets, and deliverables. This individual will develop cost-benefit analyses, present project updates to executive leadership, and manage project governance, financial oversight, and resource allocation.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating and maintaining project dashboards, communicating technical and business information to a variety of stakeholders, and leading cross-functional teams through all phases of the project lifecycle. Strong relationship-building skills are essential, as this role works closely with business units, leadership, internal teams, and external vendors.
This position requires approximately 20% regional travel and periodic after-hours or weekend support during project implementations and go-live events.
Skill Set Requirements:
- 5–10 years of project management experience
- Strong experience leading complex, cross-functional projects
- Proficiency with Waterfall project management methodology (required)
- Conflict resolution and problem-solving abilities
- Experience managing project budgets, governance, and resource allocation
- Strong analytical, presentation, verbal, and written communication skills
- Ability to effectively collaborate with executive leadership, business partners, and external vendors
Nice to Haves:
- PMP certification
- UPS systems knowledge
- Experience with facility technology projects
Education/Certification(s)/License(s):
- High School Diploma or equivalent (required)
- Some college coursework (preferred)
- PMP Certification (preferred, not required)
