Role Summary

The Maintenance Technician Level II reports to the Facilities Manager/Team Leader. This position provides general oversight for third‑party vendors performing work within the credit union buildings or on credit union property. The technician provides general maintenance to the credit union’s facilities and grounds as assigned by the Facilities Manager/Team Leader, ensures buildings and properties are clean (free of debris) and safe, performs secure credit union courier service, and carries out other related duties as assigned.

You Will Be Doing
  • Operate a motor vehicle to transport yourself, mail, supplies, materials, and tools between facilities.
  • Supervise testing and repairs of HVAC & electrical work in the absence of a Regional Maintenance Team Lead.
  • Attend credit union training sessions, conferences, or seminars as approved by supervisor. Maintain awareness of regulations related to maintenance duties and responsibilities.
  • Complete all daily tasks promptly and efficiently.
  • Maintain and protect all sensitive data with the highest standard of confidentiality and professionalism. Follow all guidelines and policies for physical and cybersecurity, consistently displaying respect for all areas of diversity and levels of knowledge.
  • Keep supervisor advised of status of all major projects and concerns.
  • Perform daily general maintenance duties including moving boxes, supplies, and equipment. Conduct routine preventative maintenance, picking up trash and general cleaning around facilities.
  • Process interoffice mail and parcels securely and within prescribed time frames.
  • Understand and perform Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) functions as applicable to job responsibilities.
  • Maintain primary storage areas, transporting boxes and supplies from storage to credit union branches and departments.
  • Perform other related duties as requested by supervisor.
  • Display mutual respect, trust, and dignity, acting in the best interest of the credit union. Lead by example through solid work ethics and integrity. Control risk and manage operations safely.
  • Ensure all credit union properties are free of hazardous conditions and perform inspections as required to ensure compliance with Gesa policy and procedures.
  • Assist and monitor outside vendors and contractors, ensuring that the credit union’s best interests are maintained.
  • Have working knowledge of structural elements, basic electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems, including diagnostic procedures to fully maintain each facility assigned.
About You
  • Possess and maintain a thorough knowledge of maintenance required to sustain credit union facilities.
  • Work indoors in a professional atmosphere.
  • Work outdoors in inclement weather, including extreme temperatures both hot and cold.
  • Understanding and working knowledge of blueprints and electrical schematics.
  • Basic carpentry skills, including changing outdoor hardware.
  • Ability and working knowledge of hand tools: hammers, saws, pliers, cutters, and levels.
  • Basic knowledge and skills with electrical equipment: testers and power tools.
  • Skilled in one or more of these areas: painting, electrical, or HVAC maintenance.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to fuel, check fluids, and maintain a clean vehicle.
  • Work well in a team environment.
  • Be computer literate with a working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and daily logging into payroll timesheets.
