Manager of Quality, Safety & Retail Readiness

Compensation: $85,000 – $115,000 base + performance bonus

La Mexicana is a family-owned tortilla and chip manufacturer with deep roots in the Pacific Northwest. For decades, we’ve been a trusted food service partner. Now we are accelerating retail growth and building a scalable, retail-ready organization.

We are hiring the right person who will protect and enable our next phase of growth.

The Manager of Quality, Safety & Retail Readiness is a quality systems leader responsible for ensuring that every product is:

• Commercially ready
• Fully compliant
• Technically sound
• Consistently excellent coming off the line and going to our customers

This person protects our growth engine.

• Own nutrition panels, labeling, and compliance documentation
• Manage distributor and retail aggregator submissions
• Approve product launch readiness

• Implement in-line quality controls
• Maintain locked specifications and change control
• Lead complaint root cause and corrective action

• Own SQF and food safety programs
• Ensure allergen control and traceability
• Run a stage-gate process for new SKUs and changes
• Oversee validation and post-launch monitoring

• 5+ years in food manufacturing quality leadership
• Direct experience launching products into retail
• Strong knowledge of nutrition labeling, retail compliance, and product registration
• Comfortable making difficult calls to protect product and brand

This is not a paperwork role. It is a systems-building leadership role.
