Pay:$22.50/Hr.
Job SummaryThe Process Operator is responsible for supporting and directing production activities within a manufacturing environment. This role ensures products move efficiently through the production process while meeting established quality, safety, and performance standards. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, safety-focused, and able to communicate effectively across teams in a fast-paced setting.
This position works closely with operations, maintenance, and quality teams to maintain smooth workflow and consistent output.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Direct and route production orders through assigned manufacturing processes according to daily schedules.
- Communicate effectively with operators, maintenance, quality, and leadership teams regarding production conditions and priorities.
- Provide clear verbal and written instructions for special handling or non-standard production orders.
- Ensure accurate placement, tracking, and documentation of materials and jobs.
- Operate manufacturing equipment as assigned, including grinders or other processing machinery.
- Manage shift-specific production activities, including product handling and process adjustments.
- Maintain accurate production documentation and follow written work instructions.
- Move product using forklifts or other approved material‑handling equipment as required.
- Perform quality checks and assist with audits or verification activities.
- Participate in or lead shift kick‑off meetings as directed.
- Promote a positive, cooperative, and safety-focused work environment.
- Identify, report, and elevate safety, equipment, or quality concerns immediately.
- Ensure sanitation, safety, and documentation standards are consistently met.
- Perform additional production or operational duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
- Experience working with manufacturing systems, equipment, or production technology.
- In-depth computer skills
, including the ability to navigate manufacturing software, enter and track production data accurately, and use Microsoft 365 or similar systems. - Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written instructions.
- Ability to lift at least 25 pounds and perform physical tasks throughout the shift.
- Ability to work in environments with varying temperatures.
- Supervisory or lead experience overseeing multiple team members.
- Forklift certification or prior material-handling experience.
- Experience supporting continuous improvement or process optimization efforts.
- Manufacturing or production-floor environment.
- Emphasis on safety, quality, and teamwork.
- Fast-paced setting requiring flexibility, communication, and accountability.
