Tooling Machinist

Kenworth Truck Company has an opening for a Tooling Machinist at our plant in Renton, Washington.

• Complete assigned PMs and WO’s
• Perform PM and repair of tools for production
• Distribute tools and supplies to production as requested
• Maintain housekeeping and safety standards within assigned areas and perform duties of the group safety monitor, including:
• Complete weekly safety and housekeeping reviews
• Review process equipment to assure safe operation
• Assisting in updating the SDS documentation file
• Properly handling and disposing of hazardous materials within assigned area
• Customer service tasks:
• Distribute materials to customers
• Follow up with customers on material needs or questions
• Maintain stock of supplies and adjust min/max levels as needed for production

• Previous experience with all types of tools and supplies
• Good working knowledge of equipment and tools preferred
• Previous experience with stockroom and inventory management
• Education in related technical skills highly desirable
• Minimum four years of demonstrated proficiency in an appropriate craft or trade, including two years with Kenworth
• High level of work organization, with strong written and verbal communication skills
• Must be intimately familiar with product equipment, materials, and manufacturing standards
• Possess barcode knowledge, PC experience, and familiarity with MMS (Maintenance Management System)
• Available to work the shift 11:00am to 7:30pm

• $44.99/hour
