Summary

The Press Operator uses computers to setup and run cure programs for the Press and layup panels using Prepreg fabric and honeycomb core according to Standard Work Instructions.

Level II

Experienced/Intermediate level is an experienced individual, semi-skilled worker who operates machines, factory-related processing equipment, or vehicles. Has acquired skills from training and work experience, has limited autonomy, and works under moderate supervision. Achieves competency with skills assigned to this level.

Tasks

* Layup composite panels using Prepreg fabric, honeycomb core, potting, and review recipe configurations to ensure all cure specifications are met.

* Meet schedules, time allowances and monitor oven cures frequently to ensure no discrepancies in software program; updating supervisor.

* Decipher parts and quantity requiring additional probes, wires, fixtures, or thermocouple placement before oven cure process.

* Remove probes, wires, fixtures, and clean all parts prior to distributing to the next process.

Required Qualifications

* Advanced math skills.

* Ability to comprehend and follow written specifications.

* Possess analytical and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

* Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

* Forklift Operation Experience.

Education

* High School Diploma or GED preferred.

Experience

* One year of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities in a manufacturing environment preferred.

Computer Skills

* Advanced computer skills.

Working Conditions

While performing typical duties of this job, production employees will experience the conditions noted below. PPE is provided to protect employees against physical harm or hazards in the workplace environment.

* Exposure to loud sounds and distracting noise levels.

* Exposure to hazardous equipment.

* Exposure to contaminants.

* Shared work spaces with other employees.

* Requires handling objects of up to 50 lbs.

* Lifting, pushing, pulling, and bending.

* Usually work indoors. These sites may not be temperature controlled.

* Standing and/or walking for 8 to 12 or more hours per day (varies based on role, shift, and overtime).

Required PPE (Personal Protective Equipment)

Required PPE provided by SEKISUI Aerospace based on the employee's position and exposure. Below are typical PPE used on the production floor. Appropriate PPE must be worn by all employees when on the production floor.

* Ear Plugs - Earmuffs

* Gloves (Latex, Rubber, Chemical Resistant, General Duty)

* Protective Apron
