Manufacturing Manager – Position Overview
Manufacturing Manager at Boeing Commercial Airplanes assigned to the 737 Manufacturing FA FD 2-3 2nd team in Renton, Washington; 2nd shift.
Responsibilities- Manages employees in multiple manufacturing disciplines.
- Develops and executes business plans, policies, procedures, and technical strategies.
- Acquires resources, provides technical management of suppliers, and leads process improvements.
- Builds and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners, and direct reports.
- Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products, and processes.
- Manages, develops, and motivates employees.
- 5+ years of experience in Aerospace, Fabrication, or Manufacturing.
- 3+ years of experience using the One Boeing Production System (BPS) or lean tools and principles.
- 3+ years of experience with continuous improvement techniques.
- At least one year in a leadership role (team leader, temporary manager, large‑scale cross‑functional project/program management, or formal manager experience) or completed the Boeing internal course “Exploring Leadership.”
- 3+ years developing presentations for senior leadership.
- 3+ years mentoring, coaching, guiding, and leading teams.
- 3+ years communicating to employees, customers, peers, and all levels of leadership.
- Commitment to Go for Zero and Incident Injury Free (IIF) principles.
- Complete assessment as part of the selection process; failure to complete removes you from consideration.
- Successful candidates must satisfy the Company’s Conflict of Interest (COI) assessment process.
- Shift is primarily 2nd shift; additional shift requirements may apply.

Competitive base pay and variable compensation along with access to benefit programs such as health insurance, flexible spending accounts, health savings accounts, retirement plans, life and disability insurance, and paid/unpaid time off. Pay ranges from $126,000 to $154,000 based on experience and qualifications.
