Machine Operator Assistant

Renton, WA
Shift: 1st Shift (5:00 AM – 3:30 PM, Monday–Thursday)
Pay: $24.30/hour
Position OverviewWe are seeking motivated and safety-focused individuals to join our team as Machine Operator Assistants on 1st Shift. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates looking to build a long-term career in manufacturing while learning from experienced operators and developing valuable technical skills in a fast-paced production environment. Occasional overtime may be required on Fridays.
Key Responsibilities- Learn to safely and efficiently operate a variety of converting and manufacturing equipment.
- Follow established quality control procedures to ensure products meet specifications.
- Read, understand, and follow work orders and production documents.
- Assist machine operators with machine setup, operation, and troubleshooting.
- Maintain a strong focus on safety, quality, and productivity throughout each shift.
- Perform assigned duties within designated work centers and production areas.
- Work collaboratively with team members to meet production goals.
- Continuously develop and expand skills through training and hands-on experience.
- Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and safety standards.
- Cross-train in multiple areas of the converting plant and perform tasks as needed.
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn new processes and equipment.
- Basic math skills, including the ability to accurately read a tape measure.
- Ability to work around industrial machinery in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
- Willingness to work overtime when required.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States.
- Must be able to pass a drug screen and physical abilities assessment.
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic.
- Desire for long-term career growth and advancement.
- Ability to learn quickly and ask questions when needed.
- Team-oriented mindset with excellent reliability and attendance.
