The Oven Operator runs the oven used for the curing process of composite manufacturing, according to Standard Work Instructions.
Responsibilities- Verify part and documents, interpret the job traveler to determine recipe to complete cure process before loading parts onto the racks, trays, or carts.
- Meet schedules, time allowances and monitor oven cures frequently to ensure no discrepancies in software program; updating supervisor.
- Decipher parts and quantity requiring additional probes, wires, fixtures, or thermocouple placement before oven cure process.
- Remove probes, wires, fixtures, breakout, and clean all parts prior to distributing to the next process.
- Advanced math skills.
- Ability to comprehend written instructions.
- Possess analytical and problem-solving skills.
- High school diploma or GED Preferred
- Level II
- Experienced/Intermediate level is an experienced individual, semi-skilled worker who operates machines, factory-related processing equipment, or vehicles. Has acquired skills from training and work experience, has limited autonomy, and works under moderate supervision. Achieves competency with skills assigned to this level.
- 1-3 Years of hands‑on experience or training preferred.
- Related training/education will be considered.
- Level I
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
While performing typical duties of this job, production employees will experience the conditions noted below. PPE is provided to protect employees against physical harm or hazards in the workplace environment.
- Exposure to loud sounds and distracting noise levels.
- Exposure to hazardous equipment.
- Exposure to contaminants.
- Shared work spaces with other employees.
- Requires handling objects of up to 50 lbs.
- Lifting, pushing, pulling, and bending.
- Usually work indoors. These sites may not be temperature controlled.
- Standing and/or walking for 8 to 12 or more hours per day (varies based on role, shift, and overtime).
Required PPE provided by SEKISUI Aerospace based on the employee’s position and exposure. Below are typical PPE used on the production floor. Appropriate PPE must be worn by all employees when on the production floor.
