Role Description

The CNC Operator – Turning department role is a full-time, on-site position located in Renton, WA. This role is responsible for setting up, operating, and monitoring CNC turning machines to produce precision aerospace components according to engineering drawings and specifications. Daily tasks include loading and unloading parts, selecting and installing tooling, performing machine offsets, and inspecting finished parts using measuring instruments to ensure quality and accuracy.

The CNC Operator will perform routine machine maintenance, follow safety and quality procedures, and document production data as required. Collaboration with engineers, programmers, and other production team members will be expected to resolve machining issues, optimize processes, and meet production schedules.

Qualifications
  • Experience operating CNC turning machines, with the ability to perform setups, tool changes, and basic program adjustments.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, and work instructions for precision manufacturing.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and familiarity with measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges for quality inspection.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing safety practices, quality standards, and basic troubleshooting of machining issues.
  • Previous experience in aerospace or precision machining environments is highly beneficial.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods, handle materials safely, and work in a fast-paced production setting.
  • Effective communication skills and willingness to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in machining or manufacturing is a plus.
  • Demonstrated reliability, attention to detail, and commitment to maintaining a clean and organized work area.
